| dc.description | Introduction: Pregnancy and childbirth are natural physiological processes with risks of morbidity and mortality due to various causes, including complications resulting from unnecessary interventions, such as elective cesarean surgery performed without clinical indication. The insertion of Obstetrical and Midwifery Nurses in the prenatal, delivery and postpartum care settings can be a reductive factor in the rates of cesarean sections, obstetric violence and unnecessary interventions during this period. Their practice is generally less invasive, which justifies the object of study of this work to be their prenatal care of pregnant women at usual risk. Objective: To analyze the assistance of pregnant women accompanied by obstetric nurses regarding the outcome and care. Methodology: This is an observational research with a quantitative - qualitative cross-sectional approach, based on the perception of women who were attended in their prenatal care, delivery and birth by obstetric nurses. Results: It was identified that the preferred mode of delivery for most women would be the vaginal route, but in practice, the predominant route ended up being cesarean section, even with the assistance and guidance of specialized professionals. Most women reported a good experience during prenatal care and during childbirth, and were satisfied with the assistance received by obstetric nursing throughout the process. Conclusion: The study allowed us to conclude that most women were satisfied with the assistance provided by obstetric nurses and would indicate this type of assistance to people close to them. Regarding the outcome of childbirth, most had cesarean section, even with their preference for the vaginal route. There is a need for greater insertion of obstetric nursing in childbirth and birth care in public and private health services, considering the scientific evidence that this is a positive strategy in reducing unnecessary interventions. | |

| dc.description | Introdução: O ciclo gravídico puerperal é um processo fisiológico natural devendo ser considerada a possibilidade de riscos de morbimortalidade por diversas causas durante a gestação, enfatizando complicações resultantes de intervenções desnecessárias incluindo a cirurgia cesariana de forma eletiva, sem indicações clínicas. A inserção das Enfermeiras Obstetras e Obstetrizes nos cenários de atendimento pré-natal, parto e pós-parto pode ser um fator reducional nas taxas de cesarianas, violência obstétrica e intervenções desnecessárias durante esse período e sua prática é de maneira geral menos invasiva, o que justifica serem o objeto de estudo deste trabalho a sua assistência no pré-natal à gestantes de risco habitual. Objetivo: Analisar a assistência prestada por enfermeiras obstetras quanto ao desfecho e a percepção das mulheres assistidas. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma pesquisa observacional de abordagem quantitativa - qualitativa de corte transversal, a partir da percepção de mulheres que foram atendidas no seu acompanhamento pré-natal, parto e nascimento por enfermeiras obstetras. Resultados: Foi identificado que a via de parto de preferência pela maioria das mulheres é a vaginal, porém na prática predomina a cirurgia cesariana, mesmo com o acompanhamento e orientações de profissionais específicos. A maioria das mulheres relatou uma ba experiência durante o acompanhamento do pré-natal e durante o parto, se mostrou satisfeita com a assistência recebida pela enfermagem obstétrica durante todo o processo. Conclusão: O estudo permitiu concluir que a maioria das mulheres se mostrou satisfeita quanto à assistência prestada pelas enfermeiras obstetras e indicaria esse tipo de assistência para pessoas próximas. Quanto ao desfecho do parto a maioria teve a cesárea, mesmo demonstrando interesse pelo parto vaginal. Sugere-se a ampliação da inserção da Enfermagem Obstétrica na assistência ao parto e nascimento nos serviços de saúde da rede pública e setor privado, considerando as evidências científicas de que se trata de uma estratégia positiva na redução das intervenções desnecessárias. | |
