dc.descriptionThis article aims to analyze the accounting expert's work in a judicial context, evidencing how the accounting skills delivered in the Federal Judicial Branch in Uberlândia benefit judges in their decision-making. The research was based on the search for evidence in books, articles, and an interview with the Federal Judicial Accountant of Uberlândia through a questionnaire. The questionnaire was composed of 18 open questions that considered for analysis, the expert accountancy work from its insertion in the judicial processes until their finalization. The results show that the work carried out by the experts registered today is rather used by the magistrates and that, therefore, these works collaborate in a way that is consistent with justice.

dc.descriptionEste artigo tem como objetivo analisar o trabalho pericial contábil no contexto judicial, evidenciando como as perícias contábeis entregues na Subseção Judiciária Federal em Uberlândia beneficiam os magistrados em suas tomadas de decisões. A pesquisa foi fundamentada em evidências disponível em livros, artigos e, por meio de um questionário aplicado a um contador judicial da Justiça Federal de Uberlândia. Esse instrumento é composto por 18 questões abertas que abordam de forma analítica o trabalho pericial contábil desde a sua inserção nos processos judicias até a finalização dos mesmos. Os resultados obtidos mostram que os trabalhos executados pelos peritos, hoje cadastrados, são sim aproveitados pelos magistrados e que, portanto, tais trabalhos colaboram de uma forma coerente com a justiça.
