dc.descriptionThe article presents a review of the state-of-the-art on the role of women in the armed conflicts that shaped the Andean Triple-border-Area (between Bolivia, Chile and Peru) and the Parana Triple-border-Area (between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay) in the 19th century. To summarize these debates, we will start by carrying out, in the second section, a discussion of the analytical categories that underlie the gender shift in the historiographical perspective influenced by the feminist debates in that field. We will also discuss their areas of interpellation with the studies of inequality and gender violence in border territories. In the third section, we offer a synthetic description of the current configuration of the two border contexts that we will analyze. In the fourth section, we will delve into the wars that constructed the Andean Triple-border-Area in the 19th century, while in the fifth, we will debate the war that shaped the Triple-border-Area of the Parana River. We conclude with our comparative analyzes, discussing the concept of ultraintensity patriarchy.
dc.descriptionEl artículo presenta una revisión del estado del arte sobre el papel de la mujer en los conflictos armados que conformaron la Triple Frontera Andina (entre Bolivia, Chile y Perú) y la Triple Frontera Paraná (entre Bolivia, Chile y Perú). Argentina, Brasil y Paraguay) en el siglo XIX. Para resumir estos debates, comenzaremos por realizar, en la segunda sección, una discusión sobre las categorías analíticas que subyacen al cambio de género en la perspectiva historiográfica influenciada por los debates feministas en ese campo. También discutiremos sus áreas de interpelación con los estudios de desigualdad y violencia de género en territorios fronterizos. En el tercer apartado ofrecemos una descripción sintética de la configuración actual de los dos contextos fronterizos que analizaremos. En la cuarta sección, profundizaremos en las guerras que construyeron la Triple Frontera Andina en el siglo XIX, mientras que en la quinta, debatiremos la guerra que dio forma a la Triple Frontera del Río Paraná. Concluimos con nuestros análisis comparativos, discutiendo el concepto de patriarcado de ultraintensidad.
