dc.descriptionLanguage teaching mediated by digital technologies has been the subject of research and practical experiences for more than two decades in Brazil. In view of this, research involving both the teaching and the production of digital teaching materials is recurrent and has been widely described in previous publications in the field of Applied Linguistics (REIS, 2010; LEFFA et al., 2020). With the proposal for emergency remote education as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, new practices and demands have been highlighted and have constantly challenged both the pedagogical actions of experienced and novice researchers. In order to contribute to the description, analysis and dissemination of the experiences carried out through an outreach course offered in the year 2020 at the Federal University of Santa Maria, we report the strategies developed to adapt the English Online 3D course from hybrid to remote modality. The adaptations that occurred in the reformulation of the digital material, as well as in relation to the pedagogical planning of the synchronous and asynchronous classes, are the focus of our reflection regarding teacher training of undergraduates and of the teachers involved in the project.en-US
dc.descriptionO ensino de línguas mediado por tecnologias digitais tem sido alvo de pesquisa e experiências práticas há mais de duas décadas no Brasil. Em vista disso, pesquisas que envolvem tanto o ensino quanto a produção de materiais didáticos digitais são recorrentes e têm sido amplamente descritas em publicações prévias na área de Linguística Aplicada (REIS, 2010; LEFFA et al., 2020). Com a proposta do ensino remoto emergencial como resposta à pandemia de COVID-19, novas práticas e demandas têm sido evidenciadas e têm desafiado constantemente tanto ações pedagógicas de pesquisadores experientes quanto de iniciantes. A fim de contribuir com a descrição, análise e divulgação das experiências realizadas por meio de um curso de extensão ofertado no ano de 2020 na Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, reportamos as estratégias desenvolvidas para adaptar o curso English Online 3D da modalidade híbrida para a modalidade remota. As adaptações ocorridas na reformulação do material digital, bem como com relação ao planejamento pedagógico das aulas síncronas e assíncronas, são alvo da reflexão no que tange à formação inicial dos alunos de Letras e dos docentes envolvidos no projeto.pt-BR
