| dc.description | This study aims to present the project entitled Zoot Kids. In this activity, elementary schools in the city of Santa Maria (RS) are invited to visit the animal research laboratories related to the Zootechnics course. In visits organized and guided by the members of the Tutorial Education Program - PET Animal Science, children have the opportunity to touch, smell, feed and get to know the laboratory facilities that have sheep, laying and cutting birds, rabbits, beef and dairy cattle, horses and chinchillas. The tour makes it possible for many totally urban children to discover an unknown animal world. For the group members, it is a unique experience of information exchange and personal and emotional growth. | en-US |
| dc.description | No presente estudo, objetiva-se apresentar o projeto intitulado Zoot Kids. Nesta atividade, escolas de ensino fundamental da cidade de Santa Maria (RS), são convidadas a visitar os laboratórios de pesquisa animal relacionados ao curso de Zootecnia. Nas visitas organizadas e guiadas pelos integrantes do Programa de Educação Tutorial – PET Zootecnia, as crianças tem a oportunidade de tocar, cheirar, alimentar e conhecer as instalações de laboratórios que possuem ovelhas, aves de postura e corte, coelhos, bovinos de corte e leite, equinos e chinchilas. O passeio possibilita a descoberta de um mundo animal desconhecido por muitas crianças totalmente urbanas. Aos integrantes do grupo, é uma experiência única de troca de informações e crescimento profissional e pessoal. | pt-BR |
