dc.descriptionThis article presents a study realized in a didactic book of Portuguese language with the objective to verify how it happens the relation between activities about reading and composition with some orientations of the National Curriculum Parameters – PCNs. The analysis tried to identify if this didactic material is according to the suggestions presented in the document, observing if this didactic book practices the linguistic variation and notion of speech genre. The PCNs suggest a work with the genre in order to form critical citizens. The theoretical base was the notion of genre in Bakhtin, such as the orientations of the PCNs for the Portuguese language teaching.pt-BR
