dc.descriptionThis study investigates the relationships between physical and morphological soil characteristics and growth of Araucaria angustifolia in three types of Passo Fundo, RS National Forest Soils. Soil samples were collected at 0-20 cm deep, in randomly chosen 400 m2 area square plots. Relationships between growth of Araucaria angustifolia and soil characteristics were evaluated by means of a simple linear correlation. The soil characteristics that significantly correlated with growth variables were: structure, silt and clay content, and A horizon thickness.en-US
dc.descriptionO presente estudo descreve as relações entre características físicas e morfológicas do solo e o crescimento de Araucaria angustifolia (Bert.) O. Ktze., em três tipos de solo na Floresta Nacional de Passo Fundo, RS. As amostras dos solos foram coletadas na profundidade de 0-20 cm, em parcelas quadradas de 400 m2 demarcadas ao acaso. O procedimento para avaliação do crescimento de Araucaria angustifolia com as características dos solos, foi através de correlação simples linear. As características dos solos, nas condições deste estudo, que mostraram  relação significante com as variáveis de crescimento foram: estrutura, teor de silte, teor de argila e espessura do horizonte A.pt-BR
