dc.descriptionThis article aims to analyze the expanded structural-differential method and the various reformulations presented, aiming at the economic study of the South region against the economy of Rio Grande do Sul. With the aid of proportional, competitive and allocation effects, it will be possible to study the behavior of one economy against another, seeking to assess the differentiated growth between the sectors present in these regions. Stilwell's Contributions (1969), Esteban-Marquillas (1972) and Herzog and Olsen (1977) have served to improve the method by providing new analysis variables.en-US
dc.descriptionO presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar o método estrutural-diferencial ampliado  e as várias reformulações apresentadas, visando ao estudo econômico da Região Sul frente à economia do Rio Grande do Sul. Com o auxílio dos efeitos proporcional, competitivo e alocação, será possível estudar o comportamento de uma economia frente a outra,  buscando aferir o crescimento diferenciado entre os setores presentes nessas regiões. As contribuições de Stilwell (1969), Esteban-Marquillas (1972) e Herzog e Olsen (1977) serviram para aperfeiçoar o método, por proporcionarem novas variáveis de análise.pt-BR
