O empoderamento feminino é um assunto que, não raro, sofre de preconceito no meio rural, pelas questões culturais advindas das gerações passadas que sempre consideraram a mulher um ser fraco e relegado ao segundo plano nos trabalhos da propriedade rural. O estudo, de cunho bibliográfico, busca demonstrar a importância da mulher do campo, como partícipe decisiva na economia da pequena propriedade da agricultura familiar. Neste contexto, o empoderamento é ação decisiva em busca de sua sustentabilidade. O texto aborda a temática do empoderamento, do feminismo e questões de gênero, da agricultora familiar e seu lugar de fala. Apresenta as discussões da sociedade atual, que cobra uma maior participação da mulher no contexto das decisões que afetam a sua realidade, bem como na mudança de paradigmas da própria sociedade. A partir de um processo de empoderamento, a mulher passa a reconhecer o seu lugar no âmbito da agricultura familiar, não só como mão de obra ativa no desempenho das atividades laborativas, mas como gestora do ambiente em que vive e está inserida, gerando desta forma, mudanças na sua posição social, econômica, cultural e política.Female empowerment is a subject that often suffers from prejudice in rural areas, due to cultural issues arising from past generations who have always considered women to be weak and relegated to the background in rural property work. The bibliographic study seeks to demonstrate the importance of rural women as a decisive participant in the economy of smallholdings of family farms. In this context, empowerment is a decisive action in search of its sustainability. The text addresses the theme of empowerment, feminism and gender issues, the family farmer and her place of speech. It presents the discussions of the current society, which demands greater participation of women in the context of decisions that affect their reality, as well as in the change of paradigms of society itself. In rural property this is a topic that needs further discussion, including among women themselves. From a process of empowerment, women now recognize their place in family farming, not only as an active labor force in the performance of labor activities, but as a manager of the environment in which they live and are inserted, thus generating, changes in your social, economic, cultural and political position.
