Este trabalho tem como foco principal os 51 filmes sobre ensino e pesquisa em saúde, dirigidos por Humberto Mauro, no Instituto Nacional de Cinema Educativo (INCE). Desses documentários restam apenas 16. O objetivo do trabalho é apontar para a importância dos registros em C&T em saúde realizados por meio de imagens em movimento, servindo como instrumentos de memória para esse setor. Para melhor entender a escolha dos assuntos registrados nesses filmes, foi feita uma pesquisa histórica sobre o contexto da época de suas filmagens, citando os movimentos internacionais nas áreas da política, da educação e da saúde que exerceram influências sobre eles. Um resumo da história do INCE também foi elaborado. As idéias de Humberto Mauro sobre filmagem foram apresentadas, assim como dados estatísticos sobre cromia, som, bitola, minutagem, referendando as imagens vistas e analisadas nesses filmes. A categorização dos 97 filmes em saúde do diretor, produzidos no INCE, assim como a escolha pelos filmes sobre ensino e pesquisa foram expostas. Este trabalho ressalta a importância das imagens em movimento na educação, na saúde e na história.This work is focused 51 films on teaching and research in health, directed by Humberto Mauro, at the National Institute of Educational Cinema (INCE). Nowadays, of total amount there are only 16 left. The objective is to point to the importance of records in science and technology in health achieved through moving image, as instruments of memory for this sector. In order to understand the choice of subjects enrolled in these films, a research was made on their historical context, citing international movements in politics, education and health areas that influenced them. A brief INCE´s history was also done. Humberto Mauro's ideas on the shooting were presented, as well as statistical data on chromia, sound, footage, run time, endorsing the images viewed and analyzed in these films. The 97 films in the health was categorized and was exposed the choice about films on the teaching and research. This work emphasizes the importance of moving images in education, health and history.
