Se aborda el efecto del uso de teléfono celular para asuntos del trabajo una vez finalizada la jornada laboral en los niveles de distanciamiento psicológico del trabajo. Un total de 93 trabajadores de una empresa privada de la ciudad de Bogotá que utilizan su teléfono bajo iniciativa de su empleador respondieron dos instrumentos utilizados en investigaciones similares. Se hipotetiza que el uso del teléfono se encuentra relacionado de forma negativa con la posibilidad de alcanzar el distanciamiento psicológico. Los resultados obtenidos a través de los análisis de regresión soportan la hipótesis. Los hallazgos de la investigación resaltan la importancia que las organizaciones implementen políticas y estrategias encaminadas a minimizar el uso de los dispositivos móviles para asuntos del trabajo en los tiempos de descanso.
