Ilustraciones, fotosspa:En el valle interandino del río Cauca en la vertiente occidental de la cordillera Central de Colombia, se encuentra ubicada la Reserva Forestal Protectora Planalto, la cual conserva bosques subandinos inmersos en matrices de ecosistemas agrícolas incluyendo zonas de vegetación natural conformada por variedad de especies en diversas etapas de desarrollo. En Planalto, la información sobre los mamíferos locales es limitada, especialmente para especies de tamaño mediano y grande. El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizar los mamíferos no voladores de Planalto empleando diferentes métodos de captura de información que incluyen cámaras automáticas, recorridos, encuestas y revisiones bibliográficas. Entre agosto de 2022 y mayo de 2023 se registraron un total de 26 especies pertenecientes a seis órdenes, 15 familias y 26 géneros. La mayor riqueza la presentan los carnívoros (Carnivora: 9 spp.), roedores (Rodentia: 7 spp.) y marsupiales (Didelphimorphia 5 spp.) que adicionalmente representan el 80,77 % de las especies registradas. Otros órdenes registrados fueron Cingulata (2 especies), Pilosa (2) y Primates (1). Además, por primera vez se registraron 7 de estas especies para la Reserva: Monodelphis adusta, Cabassous centralis, Eira barbara, Neogale frenata, Nasuella olivacea, Procyon cancrivorus, y Neacomys tenuipes. De las especies registradas, una (Cabassous centralis) se encuentra en la categoría Datos Insuficientes, una (Nasuella olivacea) Casi amenazada y tres (Aoutus lemurinus, Leopardus tigrinus y Marmosa phaea) en Vulnerable. Según la curva de acumulación de especies, se estima que la proporción de fauna de mamíferos registrada está en un 80 %. The objective of this study was to characterize the non-flying mammals of Planalto using different data information capture methods that include trail cameras, observation tours, interviews and bibliographic reviews. Between August 2022 and April 2023 a total of 26 species comprising six orders, 15 families and 26 genera were documented. The greatest richness is represented by carnivores (Carnivora: 9 spp.), rodents (Rodentia: 7 spp.) and marsupials (Didelphimorphia: 5 spp.) which additionally represent 80,77% of the species documented. Other recorded orders were Cingulata (2 species), Pilosa (2) and Primates (1). In addition, for the first time 7 of these species were recorded for the Reserve: Monodelphis adusta, Cabassous centralis, Eira barbara, Neogale frenata, Nasuella olivacea, Procyon cancrivorus, y Neacomys tenuipes.Of the species registered, one (Cabassous centralis) is Data Deficient, one (Nasuella olivacea) is Near Threatened and three (Aotus lemurinus, Leopardus tigrinus and Marmosa phaea) are Vulnerable. Based on the species accumulation curve, it is estimated that the proportion of the mammal fauna reported is at 80 %.
