Bosque Seco Tropical Montes de María

Abstract

With this research, it was sought that the groups of students of third, fourth and fifth of the San José de Almagra Educational Institution of the municipality of Ovejas (Sucre), knew the importance that the Tropical Dry Forest represents for the subregion of Montes de María, and learn about their care and the risk of ecosystem loss. The pedagogical intervention consisted of the elaboration of a didactic booklet called "Tropical Dry Forest: Importance, Care and Loss of the BST of the Montes de María'' where students will be able to have information on the subject worked throughout the project implementation process. A deductive-analytical research scheme was maintained, having descriptive research as the type of research and a mixed approach. For the collection of information, surveys were carried out with students and interviews with peasants in the area, in order to find out how they benefit, learn about their agricultural practices and the care they give to this territory.
