Resumen
Dance is a practice of a motor and aesthetic nature which implies neuromuscular, physiological and characteristic demands in body composition, associated with physical exercise and high performance, for which the dancer is considered an aesthetic athlete that combines motor execution and the physical demand with the artistic and cultural performance of their practice.
The objective of this study is to establish a non-invasive method for measuring skin body temperature using an infrared thermographic camera and its relationship with body composition and muscle power in the lower limbs of professional dancers.
Variables of body composition, skin body temperature and muscle power in lower limbs were evaluated through vertical jumps in professional dancers belonging to the Paipa International Dance Company, Boyacá. Within the results, a total of 20 aesthetic athletes were intervened, Men (n=11) and Women (n=9) where the measurements were made at different moments of the practical session.
Finally, the degree of relationship between the variables of skin body temperature, body composition and muscular power in the femorotibial joint of professional dancers is determined.
