Resumen
The thesis project titled "Characterization, Modeling, and Mathematical Flow Design of Fique Mesh through the Finite Element Method and Weighted Residuals, with the Design of a Web Application" aims to develop a web application that enables the analysis of fique mesh using the finite element method and weighted residuals.
A thorough characterization and modeling of fique mesh were conducted, which included obtaining data on its rupture strength, tensile deformation, and rupture time, both in dry and wet conditions. Subsequently, the collected data were used to develop a mathematical formulation of weighted residuals for fique mesh.
The Geofem web application, based on the MUI library and designed with TypeScript and React, enables the processing of these data and the visualization of the analysis results. Users can input fique mesh data and receive a detailed analysis, including displacements, maximum loads, and deformations, among others.
The results obtained demonstrate that the Geofem web application is an effective tool for the detailed analysis of fique mesh using the finite element method and weighted residuals. The platform offers the possibility of saving time and resources in comparison with manual analysis.
Therefore, it is concluded that Geofem is a valuable tool for the evaluation of fique mesh and can be of great utility to civil engineers and professionals in the field of natural materials and materials engineering.
