Resumen
In the current context of digital transformation, the need for efficient and secure systems for the validation of academic degrees has become crucial. In Colombia, this validation process involves verifying the authenticity of degrees issued by educational institutions, which can be complex and time-consuming. To streamline this procedure, the implementation of a cloud-based data exchange system is proposed. The proposed solution is based on the use of Amazon Web Services, specifically Amazon CloudFront, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), an API, and Amazon Quantum Ledger Database (QLDB), along with Amazon RDS (Relational Database Service). Amazon CloudFront will be used as a content delivery network to enhance the speed of access and distribution of data related to academic degrees. This will allow educational institutions to quickly and efficiently share information. Amazon EC2 will host the necessary infrastructure for data exchange. This infrastructure will consist of virtual servers that enable secure connection and transfer of information between the different entities involved in degree validation.
The API will manage the requests and responses for data exchange, providing a programming interface that facilitates communication between educational institutions and entities responsible for degree validation. This API will ensure the integrity and security of the transferred data. Amazon Quantum Ledger Database (QLDB) will serve as a distributed and transparent database for recording transactions related to degree validation. This blockchain technology will provide enhanced security and reliability in data management, eliminating the possibility of alterations or falsifications. Lastly, Amazon RDS will be used to manage and maintain a relational database containing additional information related to academic degrees, such as student data, academic programs, and graduation dates. This will enable efficient and structured data management. The implementation of this cloud-based data exchange system will bring numerous benefits. Firstly, it will expedite the validation process by reducing the time requiredto verify the authenticity of documents. Additionally, it will ensure the integrity and security of information, minimizing the risks of counterfeiting and fraud. Furthermore, this technological solution will foster collaboration between educational institutions and entities responsible for degree validation, facilitating efficient communication and data exchange.
