Resumen
This research was carried out in the textile company Karitex, which wanted to determine the
influence that cultural diversity can have among its workers and its effect on communication and
work environment, for this purpose a qualitative methodology was used, which was based
essentially on the interview and participant observation.
From this research it can be determined that the lack of knowledge on the part of the
collaborators of the cultures present in the company, their characteristics, as well as the
appropriate way to address each other can generate difficulties in interpersonal relationships as
well as communication breakdowns.
Likewise, it was determined that communication problems due to cultural diversity among the
company's employees can have an unfavorable influence on the work environment of the
company, causing discomfort and discomfort among them, and what is more worrisome is that it
can affect their work performance.
It is also important to note that some of the difficulties presented are generated by the lack of
unity of criteria by the administrative part of the company, since there is constant opposition and
disagreement between the orders issued to the collaborators regarding the assignments and tasks
that they must perform.
Despite the difficulties that may arise at a communicative level as well as in the interpersonal
relations of the collaborators, it is possible to observe in them a great commitment with the
company as well as the desire to perform a careful work looking for the development of the
company and the contribution to the achievement of its goals and objectives. Finally, and taking into account both what has been observed and what has been expressed by
the company's collaborators regarding the advantages and disadvantages that cultural diversity
brings with it in the company, it is necessary to incorporate a communicative proposal which
consists of five strategies aimed at strengthening and improving the communicative processes in
the company, the work environment and interpersonal relations in the company
