Resumen
Market squares, due to the high influx of people, create an environment that complicates the development of adequate logistics to fully carry out the commercialization process, in addition to triggering sources of unsanitary conditions and negatively impacting the urban landscape. An example of this problem is the San Francisco market square, in commune 3 of Bucaramanga, Colombia, where the influx of people is high, the structure of the building does not facilitate the correct development of economic activity and sanitary measures do not they comply with the provisions of the standard, specifically in the handling of foods that require a cold chain. Under this premise, the design of a new market place capable of overcoming all the aforementioned difficulties is proposed, and with the added value of having spaces and structures that encourage the participation of different users. Its main objective is to promote "being" and "contemplating", for which purpose facades are proposed that are inhabited by means of benches and planters. To carry out the design, it is necessary to carry out, initially, an analysis of the context, to later propose a table of areas and an architectural program, so that it seeks to condense a framework of references that allow us to know the physical-spatial requirements for the component. urban, formal, functional and technical. In such a way that, initially, the analysis of different typological and normative referents that dictate a broad perspective of what a market place should be and what its spaces should be is addressed; For this reason, foreign and local markets are analyzed and compared.
Finally, and based on the information already acquired, different design phases are carried out, in which ideas are proposed, developed, and specified.
