Resumen
The conception of childhood that is currently held is not the same as that which has been held at different times in history and various parts of the world. Part of recognizing this term proper to early childhood education is to generate a documentary study that allows an understanding of the metamorphosis of the from the child's perspective and their notions, cultural, family, and educational aspects. This paper responds to the need to recognize current childhoods and their journey through history, where its main objective is to make known the notion of boys and girls as subjects and the contemporary childhood condition that has led to speaking in terms of childhoods. This investigative exercise was developed from a qualitative approach within a descriptive and interpretive scope through a documentary review, managing to collect references that facilitated a general analysis in a categorization process that allowed reflections on the contextualization of what it is today early childhood, recognizing the characteristics of boys and girls at this age, as well as identifying the general family, social and cultural aspects that contribute to the construction of subjectivities.
