Resumen
Generate a collective vision of the identity of the territory and to build proposals for community action in the study area of Barroblanco, Piedecuesta. It is framed within an internal research call of the Universidad Santo Tomás. This report highlights the participatory and collaborative approach between the research team and the community for the construction of knowledge, which allowed the definition of community actions based on the collective interest and the recognition of the landscape elements and their identity values. In a previous phase, the identity of this peri-urban landscape had been recognized through a multidimensional diagnosis of the territory combining scientific and contextual knowledge.
Regarding the methodology, a cultural gathering utilizing oral narratives was implemented to share and disseminate the cultural heritage and transmit the previously identified values of identity as recognized by the research team. This approach effectively enabled participants to strengthen their understanding and connection to their own identity through the portrayal of representative stories and folktales from Piedecuesta. Subsequently, a dialogue was initiated to explore and acknowledge the socio-economic, ecological, and cultural context, thereby deepening the comprehension of the various factors influencing the territory.
As a collaborative effort, more than sixty proposals for transformative actions were developed, organized according to the diverse elements of the landscape and their respective economic, cultural, and ecological functionality. These proposals were thoughtfully designed to comprehensively address the identified challenges in the territory, with the aim of fostering local development and enhancing the well-being of the community.
In conclusion, strengthen social interest in the community through the feedback of identity values and the process of co-creation of community actions, most of which are focused on the landscape elements of: Cerro de la Cantera, Water Networks, Open Built Space and Trees.
