dc.description.abstractVibration mitigation can be achieved by using various damping systems, they can be active hybrid or passive. Dynamic vibration absorbers are tuned to the structure and they are responsable of energy dissipation. With new technologies in civil engineering, buildings stiffness are becoming lower as they are becoming taller and lighter. A inexpensive way of solving vibrations problems is using tuned liquid dampers, that can be used also as water reservatory. On this work, the influence parameters of tuned liquid dampers and their optimum values are searched.
