dc.description.abstractIntroduction: Palliative care provides relief from symptoms and a better quality of life for users and their families, from the perspective of multidisciplinary care. Thus, due to the complexity in the context of child and adolescent care, the improvement of professionals is sought to ensure care, comfort and a better approach to users. The pharmacist has a fundamental role in relieving symptoms and comforting, taking into account the needs in the pharmacological treatment of the user, aiming at quality in the process of medication use. Objectives: To understand the implications of a permanent education proposal in expanding the knowledge of health professionals about palliative care in the context of infant-juvenile hemato-oncology. Identify and analyze the challenges of the multidisciplinary team regarding the pharmaceutical care needs of children and adolescents, as well as the management, recognition and indication of the palliative care approach. Methodological Path: It is characterized as an action research with a qualitative approach. Participated in this study, 16 health professionals from child and adolescent oncology from a regional hospital in the south of the country. As for data collection, there were three moments: 1) Action of the initial phase, as a source of data for educational videos; 2) production of educational videos on the subject of palliative care and the pharmacist's role in this context with the specifics of the children and youth public, which aimed to assist in multiprofessional work in the context of palliative care; and 3) the action of the final results, which comprises the results achieved, being a feedback on the care, which is not the phase regarding the videos to help or the manipulation of information regarding palliative care. Results and Discussion: From the research, the following categories emerged: Perception of the multidisciplinary team on palliative care; The pharmacist's role in palliative care, including the use of morphine and palliative sedation; Production and evaluation of the educational proposal. Final Considerations: The diagnosis of the demands of the study team was performed satisfactorily and the material produced contributes to the knowledge of professionals, providing empowerment in the face of situations and subsidies so that they are supported in their actions. The research also showed the role and importance of the pharmacist in the multidisciplinary team of palliative care. This study contributed to safe and effective teamwork in palliative care.
