The research aims to investigate how the magazine Veja showed the emergence, dissemination, and the first cases of HIV \ AIDS in the 1980s. We work here with the concept of Moral Panic developed by Goode and Ben-Yehuda (2009) to understand which elements of the magazine related to AIDS and how this is linked to the imaginary fear, prejudice and sexuality. Among them, we can put here to "puzzle that kills", "gay plague" and "The Devil".
