dc.description.abstract | The early childhood education is the child’s first contact with the world, it is the introduction of basic learning, whose purpose is the cognitive developement of children from 0 to 5 years of age. For that, the kindergarten must be designed for children, with constructive particularities and unique design that motivates the act of learning. According to the data collected by the city hall of Cachoeira do Sul, RS, the municipality has, in the public sphere, nineteen specific kindergarten schools, however, only two were designed to serve this public. The vacancies available in the existing schools do not serve the community and the long waiting lines make it impossible for interested parties to register for the school year. This research aims to show how architecture can become an educational element, aimed at small users, through Montessori pedagogy and thus, obtain the necessary foundation for the development of the architectural party of an early childhood school in the city of Cachoeira do Sul, RS. As a methodology, contact with the city hall, research and survey in the literature and case studies was carried out, to develop guidelines to conduct the children's school project based on Montessori pedagogy. | |
