Aura: memórias da epilepsia como referência para criação de estampas para jaquetas bomber

Abstract

The present work has epilepsy as its theme and how the author's experience as a carrier of epilepsy can become a creative reference for the development of a collection of textile patterns. The author's memories, images and exames documents were revisited to carry out the creation process. Contents on epilepsy and concepts about Surface Design are discussed, as well as its role as an instigator of discussions on relevant causes. As a design methodology, Löbach's (2001) methodology is used as a basis, linked to the methodological tools of other authors such as Bonsiepe (2012) and Baxter (2000). It was concluded that the theme of epilepsy, together with the designer's personal experience as an epilepsy patient, made it possible to develop a rich and vast collection of prints that propose a positive approach to the condition.
