As relações temporais e mitológicas entre tsuchigumo e Naraku no mangá InuYasha

Abstract

InuYasha é um mangá de aventura com viagens no tempo em um universo de fantasia, repleto de elementos da história e mitologia japonesa. A autora, Rumiko Takahashi (1957 - ), nos transporta através de um poço ao Período Sengoku do Japão (1467 - 1603), um momento histórico marcado por intensas guerras civis. InuYasha, repleto de criaturas sobrenaturais, retrata o passado na narrativa e nas figurações dos personagens, com reflexos de temporalidades distintas que atravessam o tempo e o espaço, no qual se notam presenças da sobrevivência do antigo, de atravessamento de espaços e tempos que são questões salientadas pelo historiador de arte alemão, Aby Warburg (2015). A pesquisa enfoca o caso do antagonista da série, Naraku, uma criatura meio humana e meio yôkai, que apresenta uma trama de relações com um personagem mitológico, tsuchigumo. O objetivo é analisar as possibilidades de conexões que existem entre passado e presente, características culturais de determinadas épocas que reaparecem na contemporaneidade através dos registros artísticos e históricos, textuais e imagéticos, relacionados às narrativas de guerreiros, onde as sobrevivências do passado podem existir entrelaçadas nos gestos de Naraku e tsuchigumo.

InuYasha is an adventure manga featuring time travel in a fantasy universe, filled with elements of Japanese history and mythology. The author, Rumiko Takahashi (1957 - ), transports us through a well to Japan's Sengoku Period (1467 - 1603), a historical era marked by intense civil wars. InuYasha, filled with supernatural creatures, portrays the past in the narrative, and in the characters figurations, with reflections of different temporalities and spaces, in which they are noticed, as survivals from ancient times, of crossing spaces and times that are an issue problematized by the German art historian Aby Warburg (2015). The research focuses on the case of the antagonist of the series, Naraku, a creature half-human and half-yôkai, who presents a web of relationships with a mythological character, tsuchigumo. The aim is to analyze the possibilities of connections that exist between past and present, through artistic and historical records, both textual and visual, related to warrior narratives, where the survivals of the past can exist intertwined in the gestures of Naraku and tsuchigumo.
