This research was designed as a case study that sought to investigate the impacts of the pandemic on the teaching and musical learning of students at the UFRN School of Music (EMUFRN). The research aimed to investigate the impacts caused by the process of transition and adaptation of activities from face-to-face to emergency remote format in the context of EMUFRN. This was due to social distancing and isolation restrictions due to the outbreak of the covid-19 disease pandemic, which caused panic throughout society during the period 2020/2021. The entire academic community had to adapt the way of seeing the educational process and teaching and learning methodologies, including teachers and students. This research limited the public to be researched to a small group of music school students. Through research with a qualitative approach, it was possible to describe, analyze and understand the processes of music education during this pandemic period, and thus identify the impacts observed by the students, who provided the necessary data for the basis of the theme in question. Obtaining the data was achieved through semi-structured interviews carried out in person with the students participating in this research. They were held on the premises of the music school and one of the interviews took place digitally. In this work, it was possible to identify the impacts caused due to the context of the pandemic for the teaching and learning of music, as well as in the training of students of the Degree in Music at UFRN.Esta pesquisa foi delineada como um estudo de caso que buscou investigar os impactos da pandemia no ensino e aprendizagem musical dos discentes da Escola de Música da UFRN (EMUFRN). A pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar os impactos ocasionados pelo processo de transição e adaptação das atividades do modo presencial para o formato remoto emergencial no contexto da EMUFRN. Isso ocorreu devido às restrições de distanciamento e isolamento social em virtude do surto da pandemia da doença covid-19, que causou pânico em toda a sociedade durante o período de 2020/2021. Toda a comunidade acadêmica precisou adaptar a forma de ver o processo educacional e as metodologias de ensino e aprendizagem, inclusive os professores e alunos. A referida pesquisa delimitou o público a ser pesquisado a um pequeno grupo de alunos da escola de música. Por meio de uma pesquisa com uma abordagem qualitativa, foi possível descrever, analisar e compreender os processos da educação musical durante esse período de pandemia, e assim identificar os impactos observados pelos alunos, que forneceram os dados necessários para o embasamento do tema em questão. A obtenção dos dados foi alcançada por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas presencialmente com os alunos participantes desta pesquisa. Elas foram realizadas nas dependências da escola de música e uma das entrevistas ocorreu de modo digital. Neste trabalho foi possível identificar os impactos surtidos devido ao contexto da pandemia para o ensino e aprendizagem de música, bem como na formação de discentes do Curso de Licenciatura em Música da UFRN.
