“Afuá cidade das águas”: uma abordagem sociológica de suas relações sociais, políticas e culturais

Abstract

This work conclusion course essay deals with the fundamental aspects which enable the formation and organization of the municipality of Afuá, more specifically the city of Afuá, translated in an approach to its history in cuts from its creation until the present times, analysed in issues related to the contextualization of the social relations and their implications, and also in the positive and negative aspects caused by the public policy developed in the municipality, in addition to the affirmation of the culture from Marajó in the building of a self-identity for the people from Afuá, shown in the cultural manifestations practiced in the city of Afuá. Pará ans Amapá are part of this context, since the relationship of reciprocity between these two states with Afuá is worked, discussed about the social, political and cultural aspects resulting from these relationships. Finally, a dedication to the Afuá alterity emphasizing the title of this project: “Afuá, the City of Waters”, a city understood by its geographical difference, fact which translated itself in the sociological studies related to the city known as “Marajoara Venice”.
