In the context of the Amazon, we can identify the different views of the world about our region, mainly due to the influence of speeches by the State, corporations, intellectuals, and common sense. Assuming that the transformations caused by the construction of the Belo Monte Dam, as well as the entire process in decision-making, caused different impacts on the lives of those affected. The research consists of understanding, through the personal testimony of residents of urban resettlements, how the construction of the Belo Monte HPP influenced the worldview of those affected. The personal testimony of the residents of the urban resettlements, who presented different views of the world about the situation, was collected. Thus, resettled people were divided into four categories according to their worldview: a) affected: resettles who seek to characterize the aspect of resistance and also verify the exercise of their right are classified as follows: b) pro-beautiful lot: a the second category considers resettled people who were influenced by the developmental discourse and who are in favor of the dam and all the transformations it has brought to the city and to the lives of the population; c) the indifferent: the third category is recognized by the indifference to the whole situation, which is influenced by successive institutional abandonments. d) victim: finally, the category victim is used for resettled people who seek to express the pain of violence suffered during the process of removal from their neighborhoods for urban resettlements.
