This article aims to analyze the admission of refugees who live in the Campos Gerais area in the state of Paraná, Brazil, to the social protection services. It’s an interdisciplinary and qualitative research with exploratory and descriptive dispositions. As methodological tools, we chose the documental, bibliographical and field researches - the latter one being done through semi-structured interviews. We define the research subjects as the refugees who live in the Campos Gerais area, in the state of Paraná, in the cities of Castro and Ponta Grossa. The subjects were chosen from a documentary research which was carried out with the Catholic organization Cáritas. This thesis is organized into four chapters. The first one aimed to comprehend the legal terms, as well as the conceptual and humanitarian terms, when it comes to refugees - in terms of national and international legislation. The second chapter analyzes the intersectional relation between gender and refuge, speaking of the human selectivity of refugees in the globalized world. The third chapter aimed to discuss social protection as an instrument for reducing vulnerabilities and social risks. Chapter four analyzes the access of refugees to the social protection system in the Campos Gerais area, in the state of Paraná. The data analysis was carried out from the identified categories: refuge, gender, social protection and local integration. We found out that refugees are not effectively integrated into the system, once they do not have adequate access to health matters,education, social assistance, social security and work. Thus, we defend the necessityto articulate public policies for a fair treatment of these women and the actualre cognition of their particularities, in order to provide them an effective entry to the local social protection system.O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar o acesso das refugiadas residentes na Região dos Campos Gerais, no Estado do Paraná, ao sistema de proteção social. Trata-se de uma pesquisa interdisciplinar, qualitativa de caráter exploratório e descritivo. Como instrumentos metodológicos, utilizou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e de campo, realizando-se esta última por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas. Definiu-se como sujeitos da pesquisa as refugiadas residentes na Região dos Campos Gerais/PR, localizadas nos municípios de Castro e Ponta Grossa, a partir da pesquisa documental realizada junto a Cáritas Diocesana de Ponta Grossa, Paraná. A presente tese está organizada em 4 capítulos: no primeiro Capítulo, buscou-se compreender os fundamentos legais, conceituais e humanitários do refúgio, nos termos da legislação internacional e nacional. O segundo Capítulo aborda a relação interseccional entre gênero e refúgio, iniciando a discussão a partir da seletividade humana dos refugiados no mundo globalizado. No terceiro Capítulo, estudou-se a proteção social enquanto instrumento utilizado para reduzir as vulnerabilidades e riscos sociais; e no quarto Capítulo, foi analisado o acesso das refugiadas ao sistema de proteção social na Região dos Campos Gerais, no Estado do Paraná. A análise dos dados se deu a partir das categorias identificadas: refúgio; gênero, proteção social e integração local. Constatou-se que as refugiadas não estão integradas de forma efetiva na Região dos Campos Gerais, no Estado do Paraná, em razão do acesso insuficiente e inadequado delas à saúde, educação, assistência social, previdência social e trabalho. Diante disto, defende-se a necessidade da articulação de políticas públicas de tratamento adequado destas mulheres, com o reconhecimento de suas particularidades, a fim de proporcionar-lhes o acesso efetivo ao sistema de proteção social local.
