L. S. Vygotsky: the topicality of his thinking requires the recovery of his work

This article presents information on the first efforts to recover and revise the work of Lev Semionovich Vygotsky - founder of the Soviet historical-cultural theory - in Russia, as well as a brief description and analysis of the content of the first volume of the Complete Works by the author, published in Moscow, in 2015. This is an important volume that combines efforts by family members and collaborators to recover works that are little known or practically unknown by scholars of the theory. Also featured is the translation of a review of children's theater, published by Vigotski in 1923, with comments by Vladimir Sobkin, the organizer of that volume. It analyzes the position, defended by Sobkin, that Vigotski's theatrical reviews provides evidence of the origin of some important ideas by Vigotski regarding the development of the child. Then, the main argument in favor of the recovery of Vigotski’s works is indicated and discussed, examining the main aspects that keep the topicality of his ideas. O texto apresenta informações sobre os esforços de recuperação da obra de Vigotski na Rússia, uma breve descrição e análise do conteúdo do primeiro volume das Obras Completas do autor. Apresenta a resenha sobre o teatro infantil, publicada por Vigotski em 1923, com comentários de Sobkin, o organizador do referido volume. Analisa-se a posição de Sobkin sobre as resenhas teatrais de Vigotski, nas quais há indícios da origem de algumas ideias do pensador a respeito do desenvolvimento infantil. Indica-se e discute-se o argumento a favor da recuperação de sua obra, examinando-se os principais aspectos que mantêm suas ideias atuais.
