Colombia avanza en un proceso de regionalizaci?n, en donde los departamentos participan a trav?s de la integraci?n de regiones. Ejemplo de lo anterior se observa en la conformaci?n de la Regi?n RAPE Centro. Para el departamento del Tolima es pertinente analizar las din?micas econ?micas de la regi?n RAPE ya que de esta forma se puede determinar si el Departamento del Tolima tiene ventajas competitivas que lo posicionan como un departamento ganador en t?rminos de desarrollo regional al interior de la Regi?n RAPE-Centro. El an?lisis regional es una actividad multidimensional en donde el objeto de estudio es la regi?n y las din?micas que all? se presentan. La regi?n puede entenderse como un tipo de territorio organizado que contiene, en t?rminos reales o potenciales, los factores de su propio desarrollo, con total independencia de la escala. Con un atributo definitorio: la propia complejidad de un sistema abierto? (Boisier, 1979). El an?lisis regional a trav?s de informaci?n que simplifica la realidad y de la aplicaci?n de metodolog?as valida conocimientos y encuentra relaciones entre las partes que conforman la regi?n. Por consiguiente la importancia desde el punto de vista acad?mico e institucional, del trabajo aqu? planteado, es que un an?lisis de las din?micas econ?micas regionales en el departamento del Tolima RAPE centro 2000-2014, puede aportar un marco de referencia tanto conceptual como te?rico, que permita identificar en qu? nivel de desarrollo regional se encuentra el departamento respecto a otros departamentos y respecto a las principales ciudades que conforman dicha regi?n; todo lo cual contribuye finalmente a formular planes de acci?n y marcos program?ticos que propendan por un desarrollo socio-econ?mico sim?trico y que dinamicen el departamento del Tolima, respecto a otras regiones.Colombia is progressing in a process of regionalization, in which departments participate through the integration of regions. For the department of Tolima it is pertinent to analyze the economic dynamics of the ANoR region since in this way it can be determined if the Department of Tolima has competitive advantages that position it as a winning department in terms of regional development within the Central ANoR region. Regional analysis is a multidimensional activity in which the object of study is the region and the dynamics presented there. The region can be understood as a type of organized territory that contains, in real or potential terms, the factors of its own development, with total independence of scale. With a defining attribute: the very complexity of a system abierto? (Boisier, 1979). Regional analysis through information that simplifies reality and the application of methodologies validates knowledge and finds relationships between the parts that make up the region. Therefore the importance from the academic and institutional point of view, of the work presented here, is that an analysis of the regional economic dynamics in the department of Tolima RAPE center 2000-2014, can provide a frame of reference both conceptual and theoretical, which allows to identify in what level of regional development is the department with respect to other departments and with respect to the main cities that are in the region. All of which ultimately contributes to the formulation of action plans and programmatic frameworks that tend towards symmetrical socio-economic development and that dynamize the department of Tolima with respect to other regions.
