El problema de la presente investigaci?n se centra en la ineficiente gesti?n de los residuos de llantas usadas en la ciudad de Ibagu?. Este problema no solo afecta el medio ambiente, sino que tambi?n desaprovecha oportunidades de negocio y empleo, factores importantes para el desarrollo sostenible en una regi?n. Para el dise?o de una cadena de recuperaci?n de llantas usadas en el contexto urbano se deben considerar aspectos como la gesti?n eficiente de los residuos como una fuente de generaci?n de valor despu?s de la fase de consumo.
El documento est? estructurado de la siguiente forma: primero, se explica la metodolog?a utilizada para la b?squeda de la informaci?n, despu?s se presenta informaci?n respecto a la importancia de la log?stica inversa en la cadena de abastecimiento con flujo inverso, as? como la relaci?n de estos conceptos con la gesti?n de los residuos s?lidos y los principales componentes de cada concepto, incluyendo evoluci?n del concepto, procesos de cada uno y modelos de referencia. Posteriormente se presentan casos de estudio de diferentes pa?ses y regiones, desarrolladas y en v?a de desarrollo, con el fin de crear una base conceptual que permita identificar c?mo estos sistemas han afectado a la ciudad y viceversa. Luego, se plantean qu? aspectos son claves para tener en cuenta para dise?ar una cadena de abastecimiento inversa en el contexto urbano. Despu?s, se investigaron los casos colombianos en los que se ha formulado y/o implementado un sistema de log?stica inversa para la gesti?n de los residuos. Finalmente se presentan las conclusiones del estudio y la bibliograf?a utilizada. The problem of this research focuses on the inefficient management of waste tires used in the city of Ibagu?. This problem not only affects the environment, but also misses business and employment opportunities, important factors for sustainable development in a region.
In this order of ideas, for the design of a tire recovery chain used in the urban context, different aspects should be considered, such as the efficient management of waste as a source of value generation after the consumption phase. In order to build a waste management plan in Ibagu?, it is necessary to know the different systems worldwide and adapt them so that they work under the conditions of the city, knowing the successful referents of waste management that have been implemented by developed cities.
The objectives of this research are: 1) Determine the conceptual bases (theoretical framework) necessary for the design of an inverse supply chain from the perspective of waste management, 2) Identify and explain empirical cases in which they have been formulated or designed waste management systems for a supply chain and, finally, 3) Identify the relevant aspects that must be taken into account when designing a supply chain that is dedicated to the recovery of used tires. These objectives will be met through a systematic review of the literature of scientific articles related to the perspective of waste management.
The present work contributes to the solution of the problem addressed in the macro project because it presents the information and relationship between the relevant concepts for the study, which in turn can have a general perspective of how has been the evolution in this field of knowledge, facilitating their understanding for the development of the present project. In addition, a systematization of the cases in which solid waste management has been developed in different regions is presented and how this influences both the environmental impact of the area and the generation of employment and income for the community involved. The aforementioned provides the research with a frame of reference for selecting the most appropriate methodologies considering the context of the city of Ibagu? through the study of the methods used by other authors. Additionally, the knowledge of other research provides the present project with the fields that have not been studied before and the research gaps that, in turn, open the way to design waste management systems with different and new aspects to consider.
