La Quebrada Cay es uno de los principales afluentes que suministra agua para el abastecimiento de la ciudad de Ibagu?, esto conlleva a que se convierta en una prioridad al momento de analizar los cuerpos fluviales que se deben ser objeto primario de conservaci?n y restauraci?n en el municipio. Por ello la evaluaci?n ambiental de los cauces fluviales como lo es la Quebrada Cay cobra mayor trascendencia, ya que permite identificar el estado ecol?gico en la que se encuentre esta y as? determinar las problem?ticas presentes del entorno, por ello mediante el desarrollo y uso del programa EVALAM-R, el cual seleccion? la metodolog?a de valoraci?n m?s adecuadas a realizar a partir de la informaci?n secundaria existente de un cuerpo fluvial; en el siguiente trabajo se realiz? la valoraci?n de la quebrada Cay con el objeto de proponer actuaciones a realizar para mejorar su estado ecol?gico, para ello se realizaron 3 metodolog?as de valoraci?n (?Metodol?gica para la valoraci?n ambiental de corrientes h?dricas desde la perspectiva de la restauraci?n fluvial?, ?The conceptual foundation of environmental decision support? y ?Active bioindication?) obtenidos mediante el uso del software mencionado, identificando las condiciones en las que se debe intervenir con el fin de mejor la naturalidad de la Quebrada Cay y as? plantear las propuesta de restauraci?n fluvial.The Cay Creek is one of the main tributaries that supplies water for the supply of the city of Ibague, this leads to it becoming a priority when analyzing the river bodies that should be the primary object of conservation and restoration in the municipality.
