En el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo examinar el riesgo frente eventos s?smicos de las viviendas ubicadas en la comuna 6 espec?ficamente en la urbanizaci?n los gualandayes I y II, las cuales cuentan con las caracter?sticas para implementar el m?todo de ?ndice de vulnerabilidad (Benedetti & Petrini, 1984) con este, es posible determinar, junto con la amenaza s?smica actual en la regi?n y el total de la afectaci?n en las viviendas, el riesgo ante este tipo de acontecimientos que generen da?os estructurales en las residencias, para este m?todo se realizan recorridos de reconocimiento y muestreos, para dichos muestreos se hace uso de la tecnolog?a de Sistemas de Informaci?n Geogr?fica (SIG) que mejoras el manejo de los datos con representaciones de la informaci?n adquirida, presentando mapas anexos en los cuales se identifican los ?ndices de vulnerabilidad que se presentan en la zona estudiada. Se obtuvo que la urbanizaci?n gualandayes I y II presenta un ?ndice de vulnerabilidad general de 20,57% en una escala de 0% a 100% estando as? en un estado medio de vulnerabilidad, la cual se presenta debido a que en la zona las casas se encuentran en buen estado sin presentar da?os visuales en la misma. Se obtuvieron que de las 59 casas analizadas, 3 presentaban una vulnerabilidad alta, las cuales ten?an modificaciones a la estructura, sin cumplir la norma sismos resistente (NRS-10)In the present work it has as objective to examine the risk before seismic events of the housings located in commune 6 specifically in the urbanization the gualandayes I and II, which count on the characteristics to implement the method of index of vulnerability (Benedetti & Petrini, 1984) with this, it is possible to determine, together with the current seismic threat in the region and the total of the affectation in the housings, For this method, reconnaissance and sampling tours are carried out. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology is used to improve the management of the data with representations of the acquired information, presenting annexed maps in which the vulnerability indices presented in the studied area are identified. It was obtained that the urbanization gualandayes I and II presents an index of general vulnerability of 20.57% in a scale of 0% to 100% being this way in an average state of vulnerability, which is presented due to that in the zone the houses are in good state without presenting visual damages in the same one. It was obtained that of the 59 analyzed houses, 3 presented a high vulnerability, which had modifications to the structure, without complying with the norm resistant earthquakes (NRS-10).
