Oxidación de trans-2-hexen-1-ol empleando arcillas pilareadas

Se modificaron químicamente arcillas naturales con el fin de evaluarlas en la reacción de oxidación del alcohol trans-2-hexen-1-ol con peróxido de hidrógeno en fase líquida. Por medio de un proceso de pilareado con titanio se obtuvo un sólido al cual se le agregó posteriormente vanadio mediante impregnación húmeda. Los materiales obtenidos fueron caracterizados por DRX e isotermas de adsorción-desorción de N2. La reacción de oxidación fue llevada a cabo a 70 °C en un reactor batch. Los resultados mostraron que al modificar la arcilla con vanadio (V/Ti-PILC) la selectividad al 2,3-epoxihexanol se incrementó. Al variar la relación sustrato/oxidante empleando este material, se observó que con una relación molar alcohol/oxidante = 1:1 la selectividad al epóxido disminuyó favoreciéndose la formación del 2-hexenal.
