In this chapter, a brief about the research advances concerning the physiology in the production of citrus under sub tropical conditions is made, and some stu- dy cases under the Colombian tropical conditions are showed in order to provide information to refine and continue the development of research works that ease the generation of local technology.En el presente capítulo, se hace una síntesis de los avances en investigación sobre fisiología de la producción en cítricos bajo condiciones subtropicales, y algunos casos de estudio bajo condiciones del trópico colombiano, con el fin de brindar información para perfilar y dar continuidad al desarrollo de investigaciones que permitan generar tecnología local.
