| dc.description | This article is a brief introduction to the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification process. This certification is granted by USGBC (United Stated Green Building Council), to acknowledge leadership in energetic and environmental design. When is the green certification –or LEED- is granted to a building, it means that it is built and operated by using sustainable methods and renewable materials. The importance of sustainable construction is then remarked, because it is basic, regarding the diverse requirements and purposes of LEED in every area intended to be certified. It can be concluded that a BAS (Building Automation System) is the best tool to obtain the LEED certification and this also means that a green building is an intelligent building. Not only is all this important for a sane environment, but also to have more economic costs for the construction and the maintenance of buildings. | |
| dc.description | El artículo es una breve introducción al proceso de certificación LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Esta certificación es otorgada por el Consejo para Edificios Verdes de Los Estados Unidos, USGBC (por sus siglas en Ingles, United Stated Green Building Council), por el liderazgo en diseño energético y medioambiental. Cuando un edificio recibe la certificación verde o LEED, significa que ha sido construido y es operado usando métodos sostenibles y materiales renovables. Se resalta entonces la importancia de construir de manera sostenible, lo cual es indispensable considerando los distintos requerimientos y propósitos de LEED en cada área a certificar. Se concluye que un sistema BAS (Building Automation System) es la mejor herramienta para obtener la certificación LEED y esto hace que un edificio verde sea un edificio inteligente. Lo anterior es importante en la medida que se busque no sólo un ambiente sano, sino igualmente una economía tanto en el momento de emprender una construcción, como en la manutención de los edificios. | |

Esta certificação é outorgada pelo Conselho para Edifícios Verdes dos Estados Unidos, USGBC (por suas siglas em Virilhas United Stated Green Building Council), pela liderança em desenho energético e meio ambiental. Quando um edifício recebe a certificação verde ou LEDE significa que foi construído e é operado usando métodos sustentáveis e materiais renováveis. Pelo que se ressalta a importância de construir de maneira sustentável, o que é indispensável considerando os diferentes requerimentos e propósitos de LEDE em cada área a certificar. O que levará a concluir que um sistema BAS (Building Automation System) é a melhor ferramenta para obter a certificação LEDE, isto faz que um edifício verde seja um edifício inteligente. O anterior não é indiferente na medida em que se procure não só um ambiente é, senão igualmente uma economia, tanto no momento de empreender uma construção como na manutenção dos edifícios. | |
