From the first decades of the twentieth century, the themes of modern architecture had a great boom until today 21st century, consolidating its university from the European, American, South American to reach Peru. Allowing the beginning and consolidation of modernity through influences, norms, policies, magazines and even the formation of intellectual groups responsible for its dissemination. The modern movement as an architectural current, extends in several building scales, being of great impact and little studied the buildings in height configured by plates and towers, being recognized as a new episode “Platform Tower”.
Thus, the present research project seeks to make known the universal nature typology of the “Torre plataforma” (tp), from an international level to its arrival and consolidation in Peru between the 50 - 60 decade, allowing us to know the motivations of each architect through three selected cases of study, based on the variations of their components and relationships that they establish among themselves, solving problems of urban insertion and adaptation in the city. The results of the present investigation will help us to understand and value our modern built heritage, being of help to future investigations.
