The maritime agency arises from the need to represent the owners of the vessels and to assist the captains in the ports, in order to provide a good service, which is characterized by customer representation in front of suppliers and the national maritime authorities. In nations like Colombia the maritime agent is characterized for its responsibility and solidarity, because of this many companies, which currently are clients of DEEP BLUE SHIP AGENCY SAS, have manifested their needs of having a maritime and port service in Peru, similar to the one that the company provides in Colombia. Taking into account that Peru has a lot of investment opportunities in different sectors, the current currency in this country is one the least volatiles in Latin America, the fact that Peru is an effective bridge between the Latin America, Asia and USA markets (BLITA International , 2017), and its good port infrastructure makes this country and excellent destination for opening markets, so with this paper the objective is to research the maritime and port legislation and to get to know the main ports and its infrastructure in order to evaluate the viability of the expansion of the agency activities in this country.
