RESUMEN: La vivencia descrita por algunos enfermos terminales, al percibir la muerte como algo cercano, está fuertemente emparentada con el dolor físico, la pérdida funcional y la emergencia de angustia. Detrás de estos fenómenos se observa una tendencia, bien descrita en el psicoanálisis freudiano, bajo la forma de una trasposición libidinal, que impone al yo, la difícil tarea de tramitar la cantidad subsecuente de energía psíquica. La acumulación de esta cantidad en el órgano doliente o perdido, se constituye en un rasgo que comparten las tres formas de padecimiento examinadas en el presente trabajo. Se emplea tal patrón de distribución de la energía, para analizar ciertos fenómenos clínicos, que fueron observándose en dos pacientes con enfermedad en estado terminal.ABSTRACT: The experience described by some terminally ill people, when they see death as something close, is strongly linked to physical pain, loss of organic function and the emergence of anxiety. Behind these phenomena a tendency is observed, well described in Freudian psychoanalysis, in the form of a libidinal transposition, which imposes to ego, the difficult task of processing the subsequent amount of psychic energy. The accumulation of this amount in the ailing or lost organ becomes a feature common to all three suffering forms that are discussed in this paper. Such a distribution pattern of the energy is used to analyze certain clinical phenomena that were observed in two patients with terminal disease state.
