RESUMEN: la presente monografía, titulada “Camilo Torres Restrepo y Manuel Pérez Martínez: sacerdotes en armas, reflejo del cristianismo más auténtico”, es una investigación que aborda dos personajes históricos del conflicto social y armado colombiano, es decir, a través de una búsqueda bibliográfica y de la realización de conversaciones con actores del conflicto, se observó las diferentes dinámicas sociales, económicas, políticas y religiosas que han influenciado una confrontación militar cuyas dimensiones es difícil dilucidar. La temática del trabajo parte de una contextualización histórica que incorpora no sólo sucesos o momentos políticos –de mediados del siglo XX-, sino también el desarrollo personal de Camilo Torres y Manuel Pérez y, de forma paralela, una categoría teológica que posibilita leer la historia y actuar frente a ella –los signos de los tiempos-; posterior a ello se lleva a cabo un desarrollo del concepto de cristianismo, donde se pone de manifiesto lo que se considera desde una perspectiva liberadora como la forma más auténtica de seguir a Jesús; así mismo, se indaga alrededor del ejercicio de la violencia, conceptualizándola y dando cuenta de la ausencia de contradicción con respecto al cristianismo; y por último, se examina la relación entre el Ejército de Liberación Nacional con el cristianismo, mostrando la influencia del segundo frente al primero.ABSTRACT: the present monograph, entitled "Camilo Torres Restrepo and Manuel Perez Martinez: Priests in arms, a reflection of the most authentic christianity", is an investigation that adresses two historical characters of the Colombian social and armed conflict, that is, through a bibliographic search and the realization of conversations with conflict actors, was observed the different social, economic, political and religious dynamics that have influencied a military confontation whose dimensions are difficult to elucidate. The thematic of the work starts form a historical contextualization that incorporates not only events or political moments-from the middle of the XX century-, but also the personal development of Camilo Torres and Manuel Perez and, in parallel form, a thelogical category that makes possible to read history and to act in front of it-the signs of the times-; subsequent to it a development of the concept of christianity is carried out, where is manifested what is considered from a liberating perspective as the most authentic way to follow jesus; it is also investigated around the exercise of violence, conceptualizing it and giving account of the absence of contradiction with respect to christianity; and finally, is examinated the relationship between the National Liberation Army with christianity, showing the influence of the second one over the first one.
