RESUMEN: La familia se ha caracterizado por ser uno de los agentes más cambiantes y fundamentales de la sociedad, la cual a lo largo de la historia ha debido enfrentarse a una serie de transformaciones que le han permitido adaptarse paulatinamente a los diversos grupos de convivencia, basados en lazos de parentesco o afinidad, que han ido surgiendo con el paso del tiempo, dándose paso a nuevas tipologías que abarcan una estructura que va más allá de la tradicional. La presente investigación, se encuentra direccionada a la profundización y análisis de uno de los temas más debatibles en los últimos años, el cual se constituye en las familias homoparentales y la forma como se configuran los roles y funciones parentales en sus dinámicas internas y externas. Por ello, se busca exponer no solo los significados que abarcan este tipo de familias, sino también, la forma en que sus roles y funciones parentales pueden ser concebidos y se manifiestan en sus dinámicas diarias, apuntándose a generar una serie de reflexiones de la familia homoparental como una tipología emergente en el contexto local actual.ABSTRACT: Family has been characterized for being one of the most changing and fundamental agents of society, which has had to face a series of transformations throughout history in order to gradually adapt to diverse coexistence groups, based on kinship or affinity, that have emerged with the passage of time, opening the way to new typologies covering a structure that goes beyond the traditional. The present investigation is directed to the deepening and analysis of one of the most debatable topics in recent years, which constitutes of homo-families and how the roles and parental functions in their internal and external dynamics are set. That is why, it seeks to expose not only the meanings covering such families, but also the way their roles and parental functions can be designed and manifested in their daily dynamics, pointing to generate a series of reflections of gay or lesbian parents as a typology emerging in the current local context.
