RESUMEN: La Renta Básica es un ingreso económico garantizado por el Estado, financiado mediante impuestos, el cual se ofrece de forma incondicional, universal y periódica a cada ciudadano, garantizando la libertad económica al satisfacer sus necesidades básicas humanas, el presente trabajo fue realizado bajo un paradigma socio-jurídico, con un tipo de investigación cualitativa y con el propósito de comparar el Programa Colombia Mayor y el Programa de Pensión para el Bienestar de las Personas Adultas Mayores de México, desde la Renta Básica, encontrando que el Programa de Pensión para el Bienestar de las Personas Adultas Mayores de México logra sustraer a los beneficiarios de la pobreza, acercándose a una visión de Renta Básica; lo que no sucede con el Programa Colombia Mayor, pues el ingreso es tan bajo que no alcanza la línea de indigencia, por lo tanto este programa es un esfuerzo insuficiente.ABSTRACT: The Basic Income is an economic income guaranteed by the State, financed by taxes, which is offered unconditionally, universally and periodically to each citizen, guaranteeing economic freedom by satisfying their basic human needs, the present work was carried out under a paradigm socio-legal, with a type of qualitative research and with the purpose of comparing the Colombia Mayor Program and the Pension Program for the Well-being of Older Adults in Mexico, from the Basic Income, finding that the Pension Program for Well-being of the Older Adults of Mexico manages to remove the beneficiaries of poverty, approaching a vision of Basic Income; This is not the case with the Colombia Mayor Program, since the income is so low that it does not reach the indigence line, therefore this program is an insufficient effort.
