RESUMEN: La música es uno de los rituales más antiguos creados por el hombre y le ha permitido percibir, conocer y explicar el mundo, mediar la comunicación con sus semejantes, interpretar y hacer comunicables sus dramas vitales, transmitir o cuestionar valores y patrones culturales, y por supuesto, expresar su mundo interior. Como hecho social está ligada al contexto social y cultural en el que se produce; cada manifestación musical presenta unas particularidades que la diferencian de otras y hace que los movimientos de orden social que en torno a ella se generan, sean hijos de una época, de una cultura, y de un momento particular en el seno de una determinada sociedad, permitiendo que personas vinculadas a ella (compositores, instrumentistas, intérpretes, gestores culturales, lutieres, etc.) se agrupen para satisfacer necesidades vitales, reivindicar sus derechos, conectarse con otros procesos organizativos, sociales, políticos y técnicos, intentar influir en el decurso de su sociedad, y/o promover objetivos políticos, recurriendo a diferentes esferas de acción. Este trabajo de investigación se orienta a resaltar las maneras en que el contexto (económico, político, social y cultural) ha influido en la obra de los músicos, en sus opciones organizativas, y en el papel que estos pueden llegar a jugar como creadores de capital social. Su eje central, como estudio de caso, es una experiencia organizativa y de actuación política ciudadana gestada en la ciudad de Medellín, la cual ha sido bautizada por sus gestores como ACIMCOL.ABSTRACT: Music is one of the oldest rituals created by man and has allowed him to perceive, know and explain the world, mediate communication with his peers, interpret and make his vital dramas communicable, transmit or question cultural values and patterns, and for Of course, express your inner world. This research work aims to highlight the ways in which the context (economic, political, social and cultural) has influenced the work of musicians, their organizational options, and the role they can play as creators of social capital. Its central axis, as a case study, is an organizational and civic political action experience gestated in the city of Medellín, which has been named by its managers as ACIMCOL.
