RESUMEN: La psicosis es una condición que ha sido estudiada por distintas disciplinas, entre ellas al psicoanálisis, que a partir de sus métodos de investigación originales ha realizado aportes para su comprensión. La noción de estabilización de la psicosis surge a partir de la obra de Jacques Lacan y marca una distinción entre el abordaje psiquiátrico y el psicoanalítico de la psicosis. No obstante, se identifican algunas imprecisiones en el uso de esta noción, que se usa tanto para nombrar los efectos de la cura como para describir la evolución de los trastornos psicóticos. Proponemos una profundización en la obra de Lacan para precisar el uso de esta noción. Encontramos que Lacan usa la noción de estabilización por la metáfora delirante en referencia al delirio y no a la conducta del sujeto en un sentido general, y que no es planteada por él en relación a los efectos de un posible tratamiento de la psicosis.ABSTRACT: Psychosis is a condition that has been studied by different disciplines, one of them being psychoanalysis, that based on its original methods of research has made contributions to our understanding of this condition. The notion of stabilization of psychosis derives from Jacques Lacan’s oeuvre, and stablishes a distinction between the psychiatric and the psychoanalytic approach towards psychosis. Nevertheless, there are imprecisions in the use of this notion, that is used both for naming the effects of the cure and for describing the evolution of psychotic disorders. We propose a deepening in Lacan’s oeuvre in order to pinpoint the use of this notion. We found that Lacan uses the notion of stabilization by the delusional metaphor in reference to the delusion, no the subject’s behavior in a general sense; and it’s not mentioned in relation to the effects of a possible treatment of psychosis.
