RESUMEN: Las organizaciones comunitarias y de base que se encuentran en un territorio, están conformadas por actores que tienen fines u objetivos en común que van desde la búsqueda del mejoramiento de las condiciones de vida de su comunidad, la satisfacción de sus necesidades, hasta la reivindicación de derechos. Se trata de actores colectivos que comparten una comunidad, se integran a partir de situaciones problemáticas y configuran procesos colectivos orientados a la gestión o consecución del desarrollo local, de tal manera que comparten un espacio, un tiempo social e idearios que les otorgan un papel histórico. La presente investigación fue realizada bajo la línea de profundización Trabajo Social e Intervención Social que tuvo como objetivo la caracterización de organizaciones sociales de diversos sectores de la ciudad de Medellín. Para el caso de este proyecto académico la caracterización de algunas de las organizaciones comunitarias y de base de la comuna 6 Parte Alta, 12 de Octubre de la ciudad de Medellín, para el reconocimiento de posibles escenarios de actuación de los trabajadores sociales en el ámbito comunitario. El presente proceso fue realizado en varios momentos, donde inicialmente se realizó una identificación de las organizaciones comunitarias y de base de la comuna 6 de las cuales se lograron identificar 28 organizaciones, resaltando que dentro de la misma comuna puede haber más organizaciones; a partir de unas criterios de selección y con la ayuda de la Corporación Picacho con Futuro se eligieron 4, Club Amigos y Amigas Barrio La Esperanza CABE, Club Deportivo Senderos de Paz, Corporación Casa Mía y Corporación Mujeres Unidas de la Zona Noroccidental a las cuales se les realizó una entrevista, a partir de una ficha de caracterización, esto para la identificación de las dimensiones estratégico-administrativa y sociopolítica, como también se indagó sobre la actuación del profesional del Trabajo Social. A partir de la información generada se realizaron recomendaciones para un posible escenario de articulación entre el Centro Universidad Comunidades adscrito al Departamento de Trabajo Social de la Universidad y las organizaciones comunitarias y de base.ABSTRACT: The community and grasroots organizations that are in a territory, which are conformed by actors that have goals or objectives in common these range from the search for improvement of the living conditions of their community, the satisfaction of their needs, to the claim of rights. For the case of this academic project the characterization about some community and grassroots organizations of the commune 6 high part,12 de Octubre of city of Medellín, for the recognition of possible scenarios of action for Social Workers at the community level. The present process was carried out in several moments, where initially It started an identification of the community and the grassroots organizations of the community 6 which achieved to identify 28 organizations, emphasizing into the same commune there may be more organizations; based on selection criteria and with the help of the Picacho con Futuro corporation were elected 4,Club Amigos y Amigos, La Esperanza CABE neighborhood, Senderos de Paz Sports Club, Casa Mia and United Women corporation of the northwest zone which were interviewed, based on a characterization file, It for the identification of the strategic administrative dimensions and socio political, as well this research inquired about performance of the Social Work professional .The information for a possible articulation scenario between the University communities center attached to the social work department of the University and community and grassroots organizations.
