RESUMEN: En este trabajo se presentan los resultados obtenidos del análisis bioarqueológico realizado a una urna funeraria hallada en el Colegio Nacional José María Córdoba de Montería, Córdoba en el año 2010, asociada a los antiguos pobladores que ocuparon la región entre los siglos II a.C. y X d.C. Metodológicamente se reconstruyó el perfil osteo-biológico de los restos óseos recuperados y se presenta una descripción detallada de las características tipológicas, estilísticas y de materia prima utilizada en la elaboración de la cerámica. Lo anterior con el objetivo de caracterizar y contextualizar la urna funeraria para contribuir al conocimiento de los antiguos pobladores de la región.ABSTRACT: This paper shows the results from a bioarchaeological analysis carried out on a funeral urn found in the José María Córdoba National School in Montería, Córdoba in 2010, associated with the old settlers who occupied the region from the II century BC. to X century A.D. Methodologically, the osteo-biological profile of the recovered bone remains was reconstructed and a detailed description of the typological, stylistic and raw material characteristics used in the production of the ceramic is given. The main objective of characterizing and contextualizing the funeral urn is to contribute to the knowledge of the ancient inhabitants of the region.
