Este trabajo evidencia la importancia que tiene la danza y la música como una estrategia pedagógica en niños y jóvenes en la edad escolar. También nos muestra la riqueza cultural que tiene la danza y la música en diferentes contextos sociales y las formas de rescatar ese legado cultural que diferencia a cada región del país, es así como surgió la iniciativa de contribuir desde las ciencias sociales el rescate de las danzas bailes de las regiones del país a través de propuestas pedagógicas. Además cabe resaltar que la danza y la música es parte del desarrollo integral de los niños y jóvenes; el disfrutar, cantar, bailar, y tocar le permite relajarse sentirse bien y aprender con alegría; con este recurso el conocimiento es asimilado con rapidez y efectividad. La danza y La música cumplen una función muy importante en el desarrollo socio afectivo del niño a enseñar a diferenciar errores y la capacidad para una mayor y mejor participación en el aula, en la relación con los compañeros y con el docente al compartir o interactuar con los niños y niñas a través del juego y actividades musicales dirigidas fundamentalmente ejercitar destrezas.This work shows the importance of dance and music as a pedagogical strategy in children and young people of school age.
