Alternativas de solución frente a la situación de crisis de dos empresas: Un análisis desde la óptica del inversionista.

Abstract

The main objective of this project is to diagnose the current state of two entities that are part of a business that are facing a crisis, in order to determine the most favorable roadmap for an investor that does not have a majority equity or management participation in these companies. The investor has been affected by lack of payment of debt facilities that do not have a real collateral and hence anticipates partial or total losses due to the poor commercial and financial performance of the companies. To achieve the stated objective, the organizational situation will be described, identifying causes and consequences using tools such as problem trees and SWOT analysis. Subsequently, alternative solutions will be presented and a plan for implementing the suggested solution will be developed, including necessary recommendations for execution. This project, analyses the need to restructure current outstanding debt facilities in favor of the investing company, providing the investor with a real collateral that improves the likelihood of payment. An implementation of a recovery plan for the companies is also evaluated, along with the need to continue searching for an investor once the financial performance of the companies improves after implementing a clear strategy. The document also describes options for liquidation or business reorganization for the companies, as well as their impacts on the investor, if this strategy fails.
